Charming grounds with amazing views
The hotel is a hidden gem, with beautifully maintained grounds and walking trails by the river. Owners Kathy and Greg, sharing local tips that enhanced our stay.
One small inconvenience was the absence of in-room coffee machines, requiring us to walk to the reception for coffee. While there's free coffee available, it would be nice to have it readily accessible.

Excellent overall experience. Small hotel in a fairly nice area not far from national park as well as the river and woods. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from attractive rooms, knowledgeable employees. The bed, which was exceptionally comfortable. Marvellous and pleasant location, within walking distance of everywhere. Again, walking distance to Acadian Trail.

i really enjoyed to be in this place. it was an old-fashioned hotel. the location of the property was ideal, right in front of the national park. besides, it was just off a local seafood restaurant as well as the trails to cape breton.

walking trail access, spacious rooms, community fire pit
The restaurant being closed due to staffing is quite frustrating!!! Some directions upon arrival felt overly stern, and it would be nice to see a better solution for the pooling water during rain. Warm shower water takes time to heat up!!!
